Maya is an accomplished professional and businesswoman. She has owned and operated a successful spiritually-based retail store, “The Winds of Change,” for over five years where she showcases her artwork and an all-natural bath and body product line – “Maya’s Medicinals” – among other items. Maya is a Reiki Master of eight years, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, studied Acupuncture as an apprentice in Florida, and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine in Manhattan. She is also deep into her studies as a Certified Massage Therapist.
      In addition to being a full-time mother of six children, accomplished artist and writer, entrepreneur, and natural health guru, she is the co-founder of “Kobi’s Korner,” a not-for-profit organization to help abused children, and will head its Recovery Through Arts and Alternative Medicine program. She is an outspoken advocate for the rights of abused women, children, and the elderly. She conducts workshops on surviving against insurmountable odds, self-empowerment, manifestation of one’s dreams, and healing the mind, body, and soul through thought.
